Orchard Hill Breadworks - Pizza Night

July 2024

In July, a group of volunteers spent an evening assisting patrons as they creatively individualized their wood-fired pizzas at Orchard Hill Breadworks Pizza Night. Each month a nonprofit is chosen to receive proceeds from pizza sales. This is the third year we have been chosen. It's a blast to be a part of the music-filled summertime family friendly event. The proceeds go directly to the care of the animals at Elm Farm. Thank you pizza lovers!

Trail Rides on Elm Farm

November 2024

Trail rides are now being offered to the public at Elm Farm, helping to raise awareness of what CCR is doing PLUS adding income to support our herd’s wellbeing.

Our growth continued across multiple fronts this year. We secured a grant to install raised flower beds and launched an online shop, offering supplements and treats for our furry friends at the farm. Our social media presence has also flourished, with our Facebook following surpassing 600 members, complemented by our new presence on TikTok and Instagram.

The year concluded with changes to our board composition. We bid farewell to Sue Maydwell and Sue Payton, whose terms came to an end, though we're fortunate to retain their expertise in advisory capacities. We warmly welcomed two new board members, Gail Giesen and Iria Doescher, whose perspectives and experience will help guide our future direction.
