Hello! I'm Shamrock, a distinguished 20-year-old grade gelding with quite a story to tell. While my past hasn't always been easy, my journey has led me to a wonderful place filled with love and care.
My life changed in 2021 when Maine law enforcement and the Maine State Society for the Protection of Animals (MSSPA) rescued me from a difficult situation. The wonderful people at MSSPA gave me the care and nourishment I desperately needed.
After a brief stay with another family in 2022, fate brought me to someone special. My mom Iria
made the journey all the way to Maine to meet me, and it was meant to be!
She was searching for a horse who loves children - and that's me to a T! In August 2024, I found my forever home at Elm Farm, where I met my new best friend TukTuk and became part of an amazing family.
Today, I couldn't be happier. I never have to worry about my next meal, and I'm surrounded by love from my mom, the wonderful staff, and all our program participants on the farm!
